The Bloomberg HQ in London has picked up the prestigious ‘Best of the Best’ and ‘Best Corporate Workplace’ accolades at the British Council for Offices National Awards held earlier this month. The awards recognise top-quality office design and functionality, and aim to set the standard for excellence across the industry.
In an article on the Workplace Insight website, the BCO judging panel described the Bloomberg HQ as ‘one of the most significant office developments in recent times’ and an ‘exceptional’ workplace for its occupants.
Nigel Clark, Chair of the BCO National Judging Panel, commented that “The ‘Best of the Best’ winner, Bloomberg, goes beyond best practice – it has delivered something truly exceptional in the heart of London, and has reset the benchmark for corporate headquarter buildings”.
Based in the heart of the city of London, the new Bloomsberg office, which brings together the company’s 4,000 employees into a single European HQ, has been held up as a superb example of sustainability and wellbeing.
In fact, we featured an article on the same office last year when it was awarded an ‘Outstanding’ rating by BREEAM, after scoring 98.5% against their sustainability test. (This was a world record for a building at the design stage.)
